OPM artist Erik Santos has refused to confirm his relationship with singer Angeline Quinto with whom he was reportedly involved in a short-lived romance last year.
“Parang oo na hindi. Mahirap I-explain,” said Santos, when asked if he and Quinto really became sweethearts, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Santos also said that he is not courting Miss Great Britain Jaime Lee Faulkner who competed in the 2016 Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Manila last January.
“Wala pong ganun. We’re friends,” he said.
“Si Jamie Lee naging mag-friends kami nung kainitan ng Miss Universe contest,” Santos said.
Asked if they are still in touch, the balladeer said: “Once in a while.”
Santos also said that the beauty queen is coming back to Manila soon to explore the country’s beaches.
Given the chance, the crooner said that he would like to take Faulkner to Coron in Palawan.
Santos also said that he is preparing for his concert dubbed “Erik Santos Sings the Greatest OPM Classics” at the Solaire Resort and Casino on April 7.
The singer said that aside from performing, he will write the script and direct the show.
“Simula po nung isang linggo hanggang April 6, dyan po ako tatayo bilang pagiging director and writer,” he said. “But on April 7, performing.”
Asked what it’s like to multi-task for a concert, Santos said: “Doble-doble ‘yung pressure. Pero mas gusto kong ma-challenge. Kumbaga after 14 years in the industry, gusto ko may bago naman akong gawin.”
Santos said that the show will pay tribute to great Filipino musicians.
“I’ll be doing the music of George Canseco, Ryan Cayabyab, Willy Cruz, Basil Valdez, Rey Valera, at marami pang iba na mga luma at mga bago ngayon na nagiging classic na rin dahil sa kasikatan,” he said.
