Boatmen from Agoo, La Union ruled both the Stock and Formula races of this year’s Manila Bay Seasports Festival recently.
Ruben Quero, on board Angilyn, took home the Stock Race championship worth R150,000, followed by Alvin Estacio on Patricia, Alfredo Rulloda on Mamba, and Edgardo Umandap, Jr – the lone semifinalist from Batangas – on Aquarius.
In the Formula Race, Mark Kim Bantilan stered Patricia to a first place finish over Ara Nicole, piloted by Ryan Isederio, Stephen Repazo of Dasmariñas, Cavite – on board Hydrolift – placed third, while Daniel Amat of Dinalungan, Quora, riding Mandaragat, copped foruth place.
In the dragon boat races, Philippine Navy swept the championships in the Women’s Small Boat, Mixed Small Boat and Men’s Open competitions.
The 2017 Manila Bay Seasports Festival was presented by Manila Broadcasting Company and the City of Manila, in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard, and supported by EyeBerry, Executive Optical, and MyJuiz.
