Defending champion La Salle is expected to mop the floor of the Mall of Asia Arena with lowly Adamson as the Lady Spikers fortifies its bid to take the No. 1 seeding heading into the Final Four of the UAAP volleyball wars.
Fresh from a straight sets win over University of Santo Tomas, La Salle troops to the court at 2 p.m. with the mission of getting rid of the winless Lady Falcons with ease as action intensifies in the hunt for semifinals slots.
La Salle and Ateneo have already secured twice-to-beat advantages owing to their superior win-loss marks of 10-2 and only the top seeing remains to be determined.
Four other squads are in contention for the last two berths and National (7-5) gets the chance to strenghten its own cause and pull the plug on the quest of Far Eastern (6-6) when they clash at 4 pm.
University of the Philippines and UST also have identical 7-5 ledgers and are also on survival mode, making them extremely dangerous as the elimination round enters the most crucial phase.
