The first teaser trailer for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ has been released on Monday (April 10) and shows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with a new look and gives a first glimpse of Cate Blanchett as Hela, the Goddess of Death.
The film is one of three Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in 2017, with “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming” also being released this year.
They will all be paving the way for 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War” which will bring the characters from the different franchises all together in one movie.
“Thor: Ragnarok” sees Thor trying to prevent Hela unleashing Ragnarok on Asgard – in Norse mythology a huge battle in which the gods are predicted to die.
The trailer shows the return of fellow Avenger The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and trickster god Loki (Tom Hiddleston), but noticeably absent are Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Thor’s love interest, Jane (Natalie Portman), who is reported not to be returning for the third in the franchise.
The film is slated for release from October 25 internationally with a US release date of November 3. (Reuters)
