AI AI GIVES WAY: Ever the gracious one, Comedy Queen Ai Ai de las Alas is paving the way for the successful entry of a promising newcomer to the entertainment industry.
Ai Ai helped introduce to media 14-year old Jelai Espino, fresh young singer who released her debut single just recently.
Jelai’s song, “Huwag Mong Biruin,” is a teener’s plea for understanding young love. She says she feels proud having been entrusted with the song by its composer Vehnee Saturno.
Jelai met select members of media last week in line with her endorsement of Natural Blend Coffee. She was escorted by Ai Ai, with whom she shares endorsement credits for the same product.
Ai Ai good naturedly took the back seat and allowed Jelai to shine at least in that afternoon soiree with the press.
As she said, ‘Sawa na ang press sa akin.’ The Comedy Queen, of course, was joking.

WONDERFUL RELATIONS: Ai Ai is one of those actors who have developed a wonderful relationship with people from the press. She is at home with them, and they with her.
We treat each other as friends who could engage in light banter as well as serious conversation.
Jelai has another endorsement, for Natura Organics Dear Teen collection and color cosmetics.
This high school sophomore at San Beda College hopes to land roles in TV and movies after finishing her workshop at Star Magic.

BARKADA MOVIE: Ai Ai excitedly told the press her new film, to be shot soon, is going to be such a winner.
‘Ang gandang pelikula,’ she said of ‘Bes, Ang Galing Mo.’ The film will be directed by Joel Langan, written by Ricky Lee.
It is the story of five women, friends for life. The cast includes ZsaZsa Padilla, Carmi Martin, Beauty Gonzales, Ai Ai, and a yet uncast character. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
