Kim Chiu has admitted saying the worst things about her former boyfriend actor Gerald Anderson when they broke up several years ago but said that everything is healed now.
“Hindi ko naman dine-deny sa kanya ’yun. Part po ’yun ng moving on. ’Yung ibang sinabi ko tutoo pero yung iba sira lang,” said Chiu, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS CBN.
Anderson, who sat next to Chiu on the same late-night show, simply laughed but appeared speechless when he heard it.
But Chiu said that she has forgotten all about it. In fact, the actress said that she could’nt remember anymore if their relationship had a closure.
Asked about the closure of their relationship, Chiu told Abunda: “Hindi na lang po ako nag text.”
Chiu smiled and told Anderson: “Ba’t ako ang taga-sagot? Hindi na lang ako nag text. In-erase ko na lang number mo.
Nung una text text hanggang sa…sige na nga alis na sya. Anong side mo? Ituloy mo. Ipaglaban mo.”
“Nung tinanong n’yo po yan, na-bigla rin po kami,” said Anderson in reference to the closure question.
The actor said that he and Chiu have patched up their differences and realized that everything is OK now.
“Ngayon po ’yung opportunity na mag catch up kami. May pinagsamahan kami pero parang it’s like getting to know her again. Sobrang privilege na makasama ko sya uli.”
Chiu said that she felt everything has been healed now when she could play jokes with Anderson. “Naloloko ko na sya.
Joke time, joke time ganun. Ok na ’yun.”
Anderson said that he did not think twice when told he was going to be teamed up with his former girlfriend in the morning teleserye “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” on ABS CBN.
“Sa akin wala po talaga. More than anything else, the fans deserve it. It’s been 11 years andyan pa rin sila,” he said.
But Chiu said that she was hesitant to accept the role because of Anderson.
“Hindi po ako magde deny nag alinlangan po ako. It’s been years at saka naisip ko ayoko na maki-pagtrabaho sa kanya. Pero ‘yun nga nag heal na, wala na,” she said.
Both Chiu and Anderson are single these days. Chiu was previously linked to actor Xian Lim while Anderson has called it quits with actress Maja Salvador.
The former sweethearts gave a glimpse of their characters in the new teleserye.
“I play the role of Bianca. Wala s’yang ibang pinangarap kundi bigyan ng magandang buhay ang mama nya at kapatid nya.
So sumasali talaga sya sa mga run para manalo ng pera. Kasi pag 1st, 2nd and 3rd meron kang pera,” said Chiu.
“Pareho kaming lumaki sa Zambales. Nagtatrabaho kami para sa pamilya namin at sa mga goals namin, para sa sarili namin. Itong character na ito sobrang malapit sa puso ko,” said Anderson, who plays the role of Gabriel.
Other stars of the new soap opera are Jake Cuenca and Coleen Garcia.
