Bilang pagpapatuloy ng kanyang advocacy on the awareness of HIV-AIDS, opisyal nang kinuha si Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach bilang Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and the Pacific ng United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS or UNAIDS.
“Finally its official! I will be working with UNAIDS as their Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and the Pacific. To help raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and see the end of AIDS by 2030. Join our campaign by using the hashtag #LIVE2LUV ♥️ and don’t forget to get yourself tested!” post pa ni Pia sa kanyang Instagram account.
“We want to educate lots of people, lalo na ang kabataan, to be responsible.
“It also goes to people who have partners, male or female, who are also sexually active. It’s better to get tested para safe kayo ng partner mo.
“It’s better to know that you are healthy and safe,” diin pa ni Pia.
“It’s our duty to inform them and show them what HIV-AIDS is and how it can affect their relationship with their friends, family and partner,” pagtapos pa ni Pia Wurtzbach. (RUEL J. MENDOZA)
