The construction of the bypass road in Pagbilao, Quezon is under way.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the P300-million, 5.75-kilometer project was held in Barangay Talipan last week with Quezon Reps. Trina Enverga and Helen Tan leading the event.
With them were Department of Public Works and Highways Quezon 4th District Engineering Office District Engineer Cely Flancia, District Engineer Buddy Salvana, DPWH Assistant Regional Director for Calabarzon Yolanda Tangco, Engineer Julieta Deseo, chief of the DPWH Calabarzon Construction Section, and former Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga.
Flancia said it would traverse Barangays Bukal, Mayhay, Ikirin, and Talipan and Quezon 4th DEO Assistant District Engineer Gener Abergas added it would help decongest traffic on the Manila-Bicol route.
The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
