Orlando will host the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl all-star game, the league announced, with the Florida city becoming only the third to stage the contest in consecutive years.
NFL officials dubbed last year’s first try in Orlando a success and will stage the next Pro Bowl there on January 28, once again matching the top players from the National Conference against the elite of the American Conference.
The game is played the weekend before the Super Bowl, whose team players are not part of the Pro Bowl festivities.
“The Pro Bowl is not only a time to watch NFL greats compete live, but it is also a unique opportunity to inspire youth and the next generation of stars,” said NFL events vice president Peter O’Reilly.
Each team will feature 44 players determined in a vote of coaches, players and fans. (AFP)
