The Philippine Superliga (PSL) is extending its helping hand to Olympian Ian Lariba.
PSL chairman Philip Ella Juico yesterday said half of the ticket sales for their first two playdates on June 6 and 8 will be donated to Lariba, the Rio de Janeiro Olympics competitor who has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
Aside from that, the league will also seek donation from spectators when it formally raises the curtains of its All-Filipino Conference on June 10 at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan.
Tickets on June 10 will be free to the public.
Juico, the former Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman and the incumbent president of the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association (Patafa), said this is the league’s way of paying it forward and recognizing all the achievements of Lariba.
