Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda “Mel” T. Aguilar has feted Jason Granado Bugatan, a BS Accountancy graduate of the city funded Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College of Las Piñas, who placed third in the May 2017 Certified Public Accountant board examination.
“We are honored by the performance of Jason Bugatan who, like the rest of our scholars, is assured of our commitment to provide free and quality public college education through our Tuluy-Tuloy na Serbisyo program,” Aguilar said.
Bugatan, who obtained a 92.17 percent rating, is among the 13 new CPAs from DFCAMCLP who took the exams last May 14.
He is thankful to DFCAMCLP for his college education and for subsidizing part of his review school expenses.
Bugatan originally wanted to study engineering, but his parents could not send him to an engineering school due to financial difficulties.
He is second to the youngest among seven siblings. His father works as a construction worker while his mother is a security guard.
Their family’s financial difficulties did not deter him to pursue a college degree. DFCAMCLP became his passport to fulfill his dream of obtaining a college education.
