JUST A THOUGHT: It’s better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you’re not. – Andre Gide

THEY CAN SING: We didn’t know former child actor Nash Aguas could sing, and sing well until he surprised us that afternoon at the media launch of an album by Gimme 5.
Nash, now a full blown teenager, is one of five headliners of the youthful boy band known for its pop songs and kilig vibe. He is, of course, better known as a sensitive actor who played the key role in a series called “Batang Ama” some TV seasons ago.
Turns out Nash is as multi-talented as they come these days. He also composed a song called “First Love”, which he leads in this recently released album.

Another surprise discovery that afternoon at ABS-CBN’s 9501 Executive Lounge was Grae Fernandez, good looking son to Mark Anthony Fernandez. Grae is the group’s centerpiece, a major attraction to swooning young girls and other fans.
In fairness, all five boys in the company have their fair share of followers who scream and screech at their every move, especially on Sunday show ASAP and during gigs at malls and everywhere.
All five members of Gimme 5 are also budding actors.
Joaquin Reyes, Brace Arquiza and John Bermundo complete the cast of Gimme 5. The group’s carrier, feel-good song is “Walang Dahilan”.

CONTRACTED BY GMA: Manilyn Reynes renewed her exclusive contract with GMA recently. And so did Mikael Daez, on the brink of being top leading man. And Aicelle Santos, ace singer-actress (Rak of Aegis) who needs a good break in teleserye acting.
Manilyn is one of GMA’s prized comedy actors. Two other more senior comedy stars, Tessie Tomas and Nova Villa, are also under contract with GMA.
Even more senior among all of them is 50s movie queen Gloria Romero, another exclusive talent of GMA, would you believe? Gloria is the star of GMA’s Sunday viewing, “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko”. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
