THE family of former actress Isabel Granada has arrived in the country to prepare for her wake.
Jericho Genaskey Aguas, former husband of Isabel, arrived in the country with his son Hubert Thomas and mother-in-law Mommy Guapa Granada.
Aguas said that the remains of Isabel will arrive in the country from Doha, Qatar on Thursday, Nov. 9.
He was hoping that the remains of her former wife could still be viewed by the public but it seemed possible now.
“Plano kasi ni mama ay ipa-cremate. Sana po ay pwede pang i-view but as of last night, medyo nag-deteriorate na po kasi ‘yung physical body n’ya,” Aguas said, during an interview on “Chika Minute” portion of the news program “24 Oras” on GMA 7.
Aguas also thanked those who supported them and prayed for his family.
“Inuulit-ulit po naming ipinararating kay Isabel na lahat po ay nagmamahal sa kanya. Alam naman po namin na sya ay nasa magandang kalagayan na po ngayon,” he said.
Hubert Thomas, son of Jericho and Isabel, said that he has finally accepted the fact that his mother has passed away.
“Medyo tinatanggap ko na po ‘yung sitwasyon. Maraming salamat na lang po sa lahat ng nagsusuporta.
“Sa inyo po kami kumukha ng lakas. Salamat sa lahat ng nagdarasal,” Hubert said.
Hubert also thanked his mother Isabel for everything she had done for him.
“Salamat sa lahat ng ginawa mo bilang isang ina. Hindi-hinding kita makakalimutan at mahal na mahal ka naming lahat,” he said.
For two years now, Isabel is in a relationship with Arnel Cowley who has his own multi-level marketing company, Star Net, of which the actress was also the marketing director.
On Oct. 24, the 41-year-old television star was rushed to a hospital in Qatar after she collapsed while attending the Philippine Trade and Tourism Conference 2017.
Doctors said that Isabel suffered from a brain hemorrhage which indicates aneurysm and in turn affected her heart.
Isabel went comatose until she passed away last Nov. 2.
