United States President Donald J. Trump arrived in the country yesterday through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit.
“Just landed in the Philippines after a great day of meetings in Hanoi, Vietnam,” Trump said in a tweet.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres also arrived in the country at the NAIA for the summit.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Thonglou Sisoulith of Laos, President Joko Widodo of Indonesia, Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of Australia, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha of Thailand, and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam arrived at the Clark International Airport for the summit.
