At least two weather systems will prevail over the country today, bringing scattered rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides over low-lying and mountainous areas, according to the government weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the tail-end of cold front will prevail over the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon while the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will affect extreme Northern Luzon.
PAGASA said Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, and Quezon can expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of the cold front.
It warned residents of these areas of flooding and landslides which could be triggered by moderate to at times heavy rains. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
