ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan – It could’ve been faith or pure luck but a pastor was able to heave a sigh of relief after ultimately surviving a shooting incident here Tuesday noon.
According to police, pastor Eduardo Palisoc, 78, of the 100 Island Cowboy Christian Learning Center, Inc. was fortunate enough to escape with a simple arm wound after a lone gunman attacked him and his driver, Marcelo Fabo, 43, while traversing a street in Brgy. Victoria on board their church’s van.
He is now recuperating at the Alaminos Doctors Hospital.
Fabo, on the other hand, was not as blessed, eventually succumbing to multiple gunshot wounds at the Western Pangasinan District Hospital (WPDH).
Police are now investigating the incident.
Recovered at the crime scene were six empty shells believed to be from a 9mm handgun.
