Two weather systems will prevail over the country today.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the tail-end of a cold front will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms that could trigger flash floods or landslides in Aurora and Quezon.
On the other hand, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province will have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Metro Manila, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains also due to the amihan.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers especially over the eastern section of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
By tomorrow and Tuesday, PAGASA said the tail-end of cold front and a broad low-pressure system east of the country will affect the weather throughout the archipelago.
It said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rains and isolated moderate to occasional heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Aurora, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate, while there will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain showers over Visayas and Mindanao that will be widespread on the eastern side.
