An anti-crime group has urged Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II to order the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to seize all documents concerning the previous administration’s deal on R3.5 billion worth of the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia.
Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) lawyer Ferdinand Topacio said.
Topacio made the call as he expressed concerns over information that the documents regarding the deal are now being destroyed in government offices.
The lawyer said the NBI does not need to secure search warrants to seize the documents.
“Those are government documents, those are official documents,” Topacio explained.
“I-seize nila baka pa masira ‘yung mga natitira,” he added. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
