Breanna Labadan made waves recently by crowning herself the all-around champion in the 11-year-old division in the Hong Kong Queens Cup 2017 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships.
Combining power and grace, Labadan won the coveted award after snaring three golds and a bronze in the event that drew participants from China, Malaysia, Singapore and Hongkong.
Labadan, 11, reigned in the Ball Apparatus, Clubs Apparatus and the Individual All Around routines.
But the pride of St. Scholastica’s College settled for the bronze in the Ribbon Apparatus.
Still her performance drew raves from almost everybody.
“We are happy with the outcome of Breanna’s efforts. Her triumph was a result of dedication and hard work. We dedicate this to God and to our country,” said proud mother Laurice Labadan.
