NATAKOT SA ISA’T ISA: Drama Queen Judy Ann Santos humbly admitted she was initially intimidated by Angelica Panganiban when informed they were to act together in a film that’s laced with comedy.
The veteran actress said she’s aware of Angelica’s prowess in the art of making people laugh, both on TV and in movies. On the first three days of the film’s shoot, Judy Ann had to ask her director, Jun Robles Lana, again and again how she was doing, if she was alright by him.
On the other hand, Angelica herself claimed she has always been in awe of the veteran star. She said she didn’t believe Judy Ann had no comedic talent, because she’s simply bursting with it.
She and I haven’t forgotten, for instance, some of Judy Ann’s comic performances in the film series, “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.” Mrs. Reyes isn’t exactly the first time the Drama Queen is starring in a comedy.

BOTH ARE MRS. REYES: Judy Ann and Angelica play the leads in heartwarming, laugh-out-loud dramedy “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes.”
The movie is jointly produced by Star Cinema together with Quantum Films and The Idea First Company.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana from an original story he developed and a screenplay he co-wrote with Elmer Gatchalian, “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes” is a journey of two women who pursue their erring husbands.
Their seemingly happy marriages are put to test when both wives discover that their husbands are having an affair – with each other!

DRAMA QUEEN’S COMEBACK: “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes” is Judy Ann’s grand comeback to mainstream cinema as her last full-length movie was “Kusina,” an official entry to the 12th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival in 2016.
Angelica, on the other hand, also returns to the big screen following her recent Best Actress victory in FAMAS 2017 for her performance in “The Unmarried Wife.”
Playing the husbands of “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes” are Joross Gamboa and JC de Vera, respectively. It must be noted that Joross has just emerged from a highly successful MMFF entry, “Deadma Walking,” where he also played a gay role.
Showing in cinemas nationwide starting Jan. 17.
