SHARING A KISS WITH PASSION: “Yes, we kissed. It was a real kiss, with passion and all.”
That line came from….surprisingly…the once sweet and wholesome singer-actress Agot Isidro.
Agot was referring to a kissing scene she did recently with much younger co-actor Sandino Martin in the film, “Changing Partners”.
The veteran actress said kissing scenes used to be a no-no in her career. Today, what the heck, she laughed, she’s already 50, and no one’s breathing down her neck!
Her kissing partner, Sandino, admitted he was initially uncomfortable doing the scene. “I was ashamed,” he said, “but gaining the trust and confidence of Miss Agot, I went through the scene with eyes closed.”
Agot joked she enjoyed the scene. Sandino said the same thing.
The kissing scene between Agot and Sandino is but one of many highlights of “Changing Partners,” multiple winner in 2017 Cinema One Originals, that hits mainstream cinemas starting on Jan. 31.

MULTI-AWARDED BOX OFFICE HIT: The critically acclaimed film musicale “Changing Partners” revolves around Alex and Cris who are celebrating their first anniversary as a live-in couple. Though they are very much in love with each other despite their 15-year age gap, Alex and Cris navigate the different challenges that comes with their relationship. “Changing Partners” is a love story shown through the perspective of different genders, showing how a real relationship works.
The film, directed by Dan Villegas and written by Lilit Reyes and Vince de Jesus, showcases an amazing ensemble cast featuring Agot Isidro, Jojit Lorenzo, Anna Luna, and Sandino Martin.
This highly celebrated film was the top box office attraction during the 2017 Cinema One Originals Film Festival and it has received the festival’s Audience Award. It was also rightfully honored with eight awards which include Best Director for Dan Villegas, Best Actress for Agot Isidro and Best Actor for Jojit Lorenzo, Best Editing for Marya Ignacio, Best Music for Vincent de Jesus, a Special Citation For Ensemble Acting, the Audience Choice Award, and the Champion Bughaw Award For Best Film.
Rappler wrote that “Changing Partners” is masterfully crafted. It satisfies without a doubt as it is “accompanied with all the witty lines that laces heartbreak with wayward humour and melodies that enunciate the ache.”
The film is based on a PETA musical play of the same title created by Vincent de Jesus. “Changing Partners,” the play, returns soon to the PETA stage with the same cast and crew.
