All eyes will be on defending champion Jan Paul Morales of powerhouse Philippine Navy-Standard Insurance as he guns for a golden treble in the Ronda Pilipinas 2018 presented by LBC which hits the road on March 3 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
After reigning supreme for the past two years and joining inaugural titlist Santy Barnachea as multiple winners, Morales, 32, is determined to rewrite history as he sets out for another title quest in the eighth edition of this annual race, considered as the biggest in the country.
“I hope to win it again this year,” said the Calumpang, Marikina City native, who ruled the 14-stage edition last year that ended in Iloilo City, with fellow Navyman Rudy Roque and Cris Joven of Philippine Army finishing second and third, respectively.
