Che’Lu Bar and Grill downed Go for Gold Scratchers, 87-65, in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Marikina City Sports Complex.
Wingmen Allyn Bulanadi and skipper Samboy de Leon combined for 29 points while forward Michael Calisaan pumped in 13 points and 10 rebounds as Che’Lu Bar and Grill gave Go for Gold a thorough beating behind a sustained effort on both ends.
The wire-to-wire victory came on the heels of a 74-67 win over Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers last week and jacked up the Revellers record to 4-3, just half-a-game behind Marinerong Pilipino Skippers for the fourth spot.
Rookie Justin Gutang had 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks off the bench while Matt Salem added 11 points that all went down the drain as the Scratchers suffered their third loss after five matches.
Playing with a renewed sense of energy, the Revellers jumped to a quick 15-2 start and hardly gave the Scratchers any chance to get their rhythm on the offensive end, leading by as many as 27 points.
