Serbian star Sara Klisura showed little sympathy on her former team as Cocolife handled Foton with ease, 25-19, 25-22, 25-18, yesterday in the 2018 Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan City.
Klisura was at her usual best, unleashing 24 attacks on top of three kill blocks and an ace, while fellow import Taylor Milton made 19 excellent digs as the Asset Managers dispatched the Tornadoes in 80 minutes of play.
It was the third straight victory for Cocolife, which improved to 3-2 overall and moved up to third spot overall.
Foton, a former two-time tournament champion, dropped to a 1-2 record.
“It was a little bit hard but I made it,” said Klisura, who suited up for the Tornadoes last year but packed her bags once touted mentor Moro Branislav, her fellow Serbian, joined the Asset Managers in the off-season.
Cocolife locals also provided enough support with former La Salle star Cha Cruz tallying 10 attacks and six service aces while veteran setter Tina Salak making 19 excellent digs.
