11 a.m. – Akari-Adamson vs Batangas-EAC
1 p.m. – AMA Online Education vs CEU
Centro Escolar University is determined to keep its stranglehold of the top spot against slumping AMA Online Education today as the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup action resumes at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Tip off is at 1 p.m., with the Scorpions out to come up with a better performance following a close 77-75 win over Jose Rizal Heavy Bombers last Monday made possible by Congolese center Rod Ebondo’s go-ahead jumper with 1.1 seconds left.
“We cannot afford to play lousy since all teams are capable of beating anybody,” said CEU coach Yong Garcia. “Our guys should come up with their best effort every game. And that’s what we’ve been preaching to them since Day One.”
Also eager to see such better performance is Akari-Adamson coach Franz Pumaren, whose charges will take on the free-falling Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College side in the 11 a.m.opener.
“They’re still far from where I want them to be,” said Pumaren. “We’re still making some adjustments with our plays.
But our main goal remains the same: improve individually and as a team.”
