The Philippine National Police yesterday commended the Bulacan Provincial Police Office for its successful anti-illegal drugs operations in which 13 drug suspects were killed and 90 others were arrested last Friday.
PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde vowed to sustain the intensified war on drugs as he promised they will not stop until the last drug suspect is out of the street.
“Those operations were all normal. Whether it was chief PNP Dela Rosa, or me, or whoever was assigned in this position, the order of President Duterte is to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs. Like what the President said, we will not stop until the last supplier, coddler, or pusher is put behind bars,” Albayalde said in a radio interview.
“Bulacan is a very big province and the police commander there is really hard-working and always conducting operations. There’s no letting up in this campaign, especially in that province where almost all barangays are affected by illegal drugs,” he added.
Albayalde said that he has instructed the PNP Internal Affairs Service to conduct an investigation on the armed encounters to ensure no human rights violations were committed by the troops on the ground.
He reminded cops to be careful in dealing with the “violent and dangerous” drug suspects.
