The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Sports For Peace-Children’s Games will be staged in the coastal town of Dinapigue, Aurora, from May 15-16, PSC chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez said yesterday.
Dinapigue, located 250 kilometers west of Benham Rise, is a disputed area in the Philippine Sea being claimed by the country and China.
The PSC has been conducting grassroots sports all over the country, including Davao City, Baguio, Maasin in Leyte and Bogo in Cebu.
“We will be holding open swimming races as well,” said Ramirez, who will be in attendance when the event unfolds.
