MABALACAT, Pampanga – A Pampanga police was arrested by authorities here along with his two cohorts following a successful buy-bust operation Friday.
Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, regional police director, identified the erring policeman as PO1 Kevin Pierre Apostol of the Arayat Municipal Police Station.
His co-suspects were identified as Angel Pabilonia and Donato Felipe.
The trio were nabbed at Pineda Subd., Brgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Seized from the suspects were nine pieces plastic sachets containing shabu amounting to P5,000.
Apostol’s .9mm service pistol was also confiscated from him by authorities.
Appropriate charges in violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165, Article II, and the Omnibus Election code (Gun ban) are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
“This move of filing charges, disciplining and dismissing erring police personnel shows efforts of the PNP in removing bad eggs in the police force, and that the rule of law does not distinguish rank, position or popularity whether victim or respondent in the PNP organization. This is a clear manifestation of our keen determination to remove misfits among the ranks of our organization,” Gen Corpus said.
