TURN TO SHINE: The road into showbiz looks brighter than ever for up and coming singer LA Santos.
Not only does he have the support of his family in reaching out for his dream. He has also been signed by a management and production company headed by former actor Joed Serrano.
LA recently headlined a solo but star-studded concert at the Music Museum in Greenhills.
Joed said the concert will be followed by a movie starring LA Santos, now in the planning stage. Joed said his company is venturing into movie production this year. His first project is a romcom entitled “Will You Marry Me, Star-struck Ako.”
What encouraged him to sign up LA?
“I believe in his talent. I like his attitude, his energy as a performer,” Joed said.
LA is an incoming Grade 12 student at the University of Santo Tomas.

SUCCESSFUL FIRST CONCERT: LA’s first major concert, #Petmalu, was a big hit, says our colleague, Vinia Vivar.
The Museum was packed with shrieking admirers, she reports.
It was, as promised, star-studded and energetic, like a party atmosphere. To name just a few, giving him support were Jaya, Ian Veneracion, Jona, Michael Pangilinan, Imelda Papin, Claire de la Fuente, Eva Eugenio, Boobsie Wonderland.
LA also rendered a duet with his sister, Kanishia Santos, herself a talented singer.
Most applauded were LA’s duets with Jona (“Almost is never enough”) and with Ian Veneracion (“Two Less Lonely People”). The latter brought the house down.
LA is guesting in Ian’s major concert at Resorts World Manila, “Ian in 3 Acts,” on May 13.
