The Philippine Navy (PN) will welcome today the BRP Gregorio del Pilar and the 300 naval personnel who participated in the just-concluded Multilateral Naval Exercise “Komodo” in Lombok, Indonesia.
Capt. Lued Lincuna, PN spokesperson, said the welcoming ceremonies will be held at Pier 13, South Harbor, Manila around 1 p.m.
“The PN’s participation in this undertaking is expected to advance its maritime operational capability to multilateral level, thereby increasing readiness and interoperability and enabling the nation’s premier maritime force to be more effective and efficient,” Lincuna said in a statement.
Exercise “Komodo” 2018, held from May 4 to 9, is the third multilateral naval exercise hosted by the Indonesian Navy.
