A 42-year-old housewife was shot dead Sunday night by an unidentified armed man while sitting on her parked motorcycle in Pasay City.
The victim, Carol Briones, a resident of Orion Street, Barangay 67, Zone 8, Pasay City, was declared dead on arrival at Pasay City General Hospital.
Investigation showed that at about 8:45 p.m., the victim was sitting on her parked motorcycle while texting on her cellphone at the corner of Arnaiz Avenue and Orion Street in Barangay 67 when the suspect shot her in the head twice.
According to police, the suspect immediately fled towards Makati City.
Members of the Central Park Police Community Precinct (PCP) and the Arnais-Pasay PCP responded to the incident followed by members of the Station Investigation Detective Management Branch (SIMB) and Scene of the Crime Operatves (SOCO).
SOCO men recovered two fired cartridges of a .9mm pistol from the crime scene.
Police have already acquired a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage in the area for possible identification of the suspect.
