LOLIT’S BIRTHDAY – Last Saturday, former Sen. Bong Revilla and Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado treated colleague and dear friend Lolit Solis to a birthday blowout at Camp Crame in Quezon City. What a sweet Saturday it was…batting the breeze, laughing and reminiscing, listening to mellow music, partaking of delicious food.
Those who dropped by included Mother Lily Monteverde, Jo-Ann Q. Maglipon, Aster Amoyo, Duke Ventura and Amy Austria, Gorgy Rula, Jojo Gabinete, Portia Ilagan, Jerry Olea, Allan Diones, Shalala, Jun Lalin, Salve Asis, Morly Alino, Paolo Contis, Lilybeth Rasonable and Redgie Acuna-Magno of GMA. Not to forget Gabby Concepcion, Manay Lolit’s former “anak” (meaning she used to manage his career), who was greeted by everyone with: “Do you still love me?” The question was said to have been thrown by – not Lolit, of course – someone who used to be very close to the actor. No comment from Gabby, that charming… never mind.

REVILLA BOYS’ TRILOGY – Bong said three Revilla boys are wrapping up a movie, an action trilogy top-billed by Bryan, Jolo (who is also Cavite Vice Governor), and Luigi.
Bryan’s episode is directed by Richard Somes, while that of Jolo and Luigi are megged by Dondon Santos.
Produced by Imus, the family production outfit, and titled “Tres,” the trilogy will be shown nationwide in August as one of the entries to Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
Of the three Revilla boys, Jolo was the most active in showbiz. But now he’s more into public service. He’s running for re-election next year, just like his mother Lani.
Bryan, who finished college at St. Benilde, is engaged in business.
Luigi is a martial arts expert.

BONG AND LANI – Bong’s looking good, fit and trim, as handsome as ever. Lani remains beautiful, a pillar of strength in the face of trials the family is facing. In time, she hopes and prays that Bong will be a free man, just like his bosom friend, former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.
