Two weather systems will bring fair weather over the whole archipelago until Thursday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said the ridge of a high-pressure area, a system associated with clear skies, will prevail over Northern Luzon.
The easterly winds or warm and humid air coming from the Pacific Ocean will affect Central and Southern Luzon.
Ignacio said the easterlies will bring light to moderate rains over Quezon and Aurora.
The rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
While a monsoon break is seen to persist within the next three days, the public can still expect frequent thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening especially that it is still “habagat” or rainy season, Ignacio said.
Flash floods or landslides are likely over low-lying or mountainous areas due to sudden heavy rains brought about by thunderstorms.
She advised the public to continue monitoring the PAGASA Facebook and Twitter accounts for thunderstorm advisories.
Thunderstorm advisories are usually issued when there is an indication that a thunderstorm is threatening specific areas within the next two hours.
