A convicted rapist who became viral by posting a selfie inside a police station last year has been arrested in San Pedro City, Laguna.
Thirty-six-year-old Radden Argomido was convicted on Nov. 23, 2016 for raping a woman in Los Baños, Laguna. Argomido also allegedly stabbed the 66-year-old father of his victim last New Year’s Day.
The victim’s father survived the attack despite sustaining 15 stab wounds in the body.
Argomido caught the attention of National Capital Region Police Office director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar when he posted a selfie right inside a police station with policemen on the background last January in his Facebook account.
Eleazar made a commitment to get Argomido. Metro Manila policemen chanced upon him in San Pedro City, leading to his arrest after several years of playing hide-and-seek with cops. (Aaron B. Recuenco)
