President Duterte has approved a P25-million monthly subsidy for all the medical and hospitalization expenses of all the members of the Philippine National Police.
PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said the P25-million monthly support will be of big help in ensuring the medical needs of policemen amid the budget woes that they usually encounter.
“I take this opportunity to extend the PNP’s gratitude to the President for his recent pledge extending P25 million monthly support to the PNP’s reimbursement of hospitalization expenses program,” said Albayalde in his speech during the 117th Police Service Anniversary in Camp Crame, Quezon City Wednesday.
“This will indeed go a long way in helping ease the financial burden on the shoulders of our police personnel who undergo medical treatment or are hospitalized,” he added.
Albayalde said the P25-million monthly support is a proof that the President is all-out in attending to the needs of the men in uniform.
The fund is expected to be distributed to all PNP hospitals across the country, the bulk of which is at the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame where major medical needs are being provided.
