THREE Chinese nationals, who allegedly kidnapped a computer engineer, were arrested by police in an entrapment operation in Makati City on Tuesday morning, a belated police report said.
The suspects were identified as Wana Ping, 46; Yuan Jun, 47; and He Ping, 45; all billeted at City of Dreams in Paranaque City.
The victim, Chao Yu, 28, a resident of Barangay Pio del Pilar, was rescued.
Investigation revealed that around 5 p.m. on Monday, Yu was taken by the three suspects from his unit at Laureano de Trevi Tower 3 in Makati City.
The live-in partner of Yu was allegedly asked by the suspects to produce P300,000 in exchange for his liberty.
At 11:30 Tuesday, Makati police transacted with the abductors of Yu at the Laureano de Trevi, giving them P100, 000 marked money.
After the accepting the money, cops went out and apprehended the three suspects.
The three Chinese nationals are now held at Makati police detention cell and will be slapped with kidnap-for-ransom case.
