Ateneo-Motolite and BanKo-Perlas bolstered their semifinal bids on Sunday when they blasted their rivals in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Eagles continued their surge with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-22 whipping over the Iriga-Navy Lady Oragons while the Perlas Spikers dumped the Adamson-Akari Lady Falcons, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.
The win hikes Ateneo-Motolite’s win-loss tally at 9-2 for top spot while BanKo-Perlas clinched solo second by improving to 7-2.
Vanessa Gandler starred for the Lady Eagles with 12 points highlighted by 10 kills while Bea De Leon chipped in nine points that include four blocks.
Kathy Bersola amd Dzi Gervacio, for their part, scored 13 and 11 points for the Perlas Spikers, who needed only 67 minutes in disposing of the Lady Falcons.
Adamson-Akari sank deeper in the cellar with its ninth consecutive defeat while Iriga-Navy plummeted to its ninth loss against three wins.
