Jomz Gomez, representing tournament sponsor Manila Water Company, romped away with the Low Gross Championship trophy, scoring 81 at the recent 4th Plaridel Golf Cup tournament held at Villamor Air Base Golf Club.
Other winners include Gen. Conrad Capa as Low Net Champion with a gross score of 70; Jet Villacorte as Class A champion; Alex Magno, Class A runner-up; Rey Bancod, Class B champion; Conrad Banal, Class B runner-up; Nilo Paurom, Class C champion; and Col. Vince Batac, Class C runner-up.
Special awards went to – Jomz Gomez for longest drive; Capt. Willy Rigor for most accurate drive; and Ding Marcelo for nearest to the pin.
Samahang Plaridel President Rolando G. Estabillo and association director Carmelita Valdez presented the trophies to the winners.
“We would like to thank the participants and sponsors of this year’s Plaridel Golf Cup tournament. The support we got will enable us to pursue various projects designed to build professionalism among Filipino journalists,” said Estabillo.
