TACLOBAN City – Two were killed while two others were injured in an explosion in Barangay Bobolosan, Laoang, Northern Samar, Thursday afternoon.
Police said the incident happened at around 3 p.m. inside the house of a certain Natalia Capas, resulting in the death of one alias “Ome” and one alias “Gaga”, both residents of San Antonio, Northern Samar.
Injured during the incident were Junjun Donato, 32, driver, and Nilo Cuanico, farmer, a resident of Purok 9 Poblacion, Lope De Vega, Northern Samar.
Laoang police said the house was rented by Dario Ayes, 55, along with the victims.
Investigators recovered from the scene a sack of detonating cords, improvised blasting caps, and pieces of time fuse.
Members of the Northern Samar Explosive Ordnance Division are still establishing the cause of the explosion. (Marie Tonette Grace Marticio)
