Lodging expenses to be incurred by the national athletes that will be relocated from government-owned facilities will be shouldered by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
Executive Director Guillermo Iroy met with representatives of various national sports associations and assured them that PSC will take care of their temporary board and lodging as the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and Philsports in Pasig are set to undergo massive repairs.
The upgrading of facilities as well as rehabilitation is in line with the country’s hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11.
“They have to look for a place that is secured because their security is of paramount importance,” said Iroy, stressing that the PSC is mandated to look after their welfare especially that they are gearing for the 2019 SEAG.
