Two groups of Pangasinan policemen from two families figured in a shooting incident in a drinking joint Sunday in Urdaneta City that left three wounded.
Pangasinan Police Provincial Director and Senior Supt. Wilzon Joseph Rodriguez identified the wounded as Chief Inspector Napoleon Eleccion, SPO2 Ryan Tacdol and Devid Tacdol, owner of the Station 22 Resto Bar where the lawmen had fought.
The incident took place at 8:30 pm when Napoleon Tacdol, who was with brothers, PO1 Nathaniel Eleccion and Nolan Eleccion and their father Napoleon Eleccion Sr., a retired police officer, got into trouble with Tacdol, who was also with two family members, Inspector Marvin Gabrillo Tacdol of the PNP Crime Lab in Quezon City and Devid.
It was the group of Eleccion, according to reports, which approached Tacdol’s just before an altercation ensued and several shots were fired, leaving Napoleon Eleccion with a wound on his palm and SPO2 Tacdol sustaining a wound on the upper part of his abdomen.
Devid also suffered a wound on his neck although it wasn’t clear if it was gun inflicted and they were all brought to the Urdaneta City Hospital.
The Eleccions hail from Binalonan while the Tacdols come from Urdaneta.
All those involved are now under custody of the Urdaneta police.
