ONE Championship has officially announced the bracket for their Lightweight Grand Prix Tournament.
The tourney will kick off later tonight with a first-round match-up between Team Lakay star Honorio Banario and Hawaiian Lowen Tynanes in the co-main event of ONE: Hero’s Ascent at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The victor of tonight’s contest will face either former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez or Timofey Nastyukhin. Alvarez and Nastyukhin are scheduled to collide on Mar. 31, for ONE’s promotional debut in Japan.
On the other side, stalwart Amir Khan of Singapore drew Ariel Sexton, while former lightweight number-one contender Ev Ting will take on Saygid Arslanaliev. Both matches are slated for the ONE: Call To Greatness card which will take place on Feb. 22, in Singapore.
The date and venue for both the semi-final and final rounds are yet to be announced.
