Makati Super Crunch bested the San Juan Knights, 78-73, to stretch their winning streak to 11 games on Monday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at the Alonte Sports Arena.
The Super Crunch showed their offensive might with John Rey Villanueva leading the charge to hike their tally to 17 wins against four losses.
Villanueva pumped in 21 points on an inpressive 6-of-10 field goal shooting and hauled nine rebounds for Makati controlled the match after taking a 24-12 lead in the opening quarter.
Cedric Ablaza also sizzled for the Super Crunch with 19 points aside from grabbing eight rebounds, while Joseph Sedurifa chipped in 13 points, seven boards and four assists.
San Juan dropped to 17-5.
Also extending their winning run were the Bataan Risers with a 77-70 triumph over the Laguna Heroes.
