IMUS, Cavite – This historical capital city is also hoping to become a sports hub in the future.
Cavite Rep. Alex L. Advincula is offering the open field on Pedro Reyes Street in Barangay Malagasang I-G to become a sports training center, especially for football and softball players.
A former garbage collector and janitor, Advincula said during the recent opening of the national softball competition here, that he wants to make the open field called as AA Sports Fields as the training ground for various national teams.
The sports facility can host night games because of its modern facility.
“We are here to support our national athletes,” said Advincula.
Advincula said he’s open to negotiating with any sports associations willing to train in the city also known as the Flag Capital of the country.
Advincula said it was his dream to build softball and football fields and other sports in one area and that’s the reason why he initiated the project.
