Reigning titlist La Salle and University of Santo Tomas (UST) try to bounce back from recent defeats when they clash today in UAAP women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Spikers are coming off a stinging 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12 loss to the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons while the Tigresses lost to the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 27-25, over the weekend.
Match is at 4 p.m. with La Salle hoping to gain the solo lead after dropping its first match in four appearances.
UST, for its part, seeks to improve its 2-2 card.
Known for strong comebacks after a painful loss, expect La Salle to come out sizzling with rookie Jolina Dela Cruz leading the squad along with Desiree Cheng, May Luna and Michelle Cobb.
UST, meanwhile, will have to double its efforts particularly Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure as Milena Alessandrani is still recovering from a partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury she sustained in their match against FEU.
