The list of candidates to land a Manny Pacquiao fight on July 13 had been pruned down to two names: Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia.
Sean Gibbons, Pacquiao’s official US representative, told the Bulletin that World Boxing Association (WBA) Super champion Thurman and Garcia, who fights fellow American Adrian Granados on April 20 in Carson, California, are the top two choices.
“We’ll see what happens with Garcia’s fight on April 20,” said Gibbons, who is in charge with Pacquiao’s affairs.
Pacquiao, 40, hasn’t fought since beating up Adrien Broner in Las Vegas last January.
Thurman, Garcia and Pacquiao all fight under Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions.
