He was supposed to show up at 3 p.m. for a press conference Tuesday, but Floyd Mayweather was still nowhere to be seen seven hours later at the Grand Bar of Resorts World Manila.
The hotel-casino’s PR department obviously tried to appease the media by offering comp show tickets for those who registered.
By 10:15 pm, Mayweather, who arrived in the Philippines early Sunday morning from the Maldives on board his jet, was still a no-show fuelling speculations that the 42-year-old boxing star was not keen on gracing the presser.
Mayweather actually spent almost two days in Boracay and returned to Manila on Tuesday afternoon for a gig with renowned anti-aging expert Dr. Vicki Belo for a session around mid-afternoon.
After the Belo session, Mayweather even went shopping at Greenbelt.
He was supposed to proceed to the Resorts World from Belo’s clinic in Makati but opted to have dinner at the Mall of Asia after the Greenbelt binge.
