Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David was briefly banned from Facebook Thursday following his viral post criticizing President Duterte.
According to a CBCP News post, the prelate lost access to his social media account for around two hours as Facebook administration accused him of “phishing”.
“I was blocked. I got some advice on how to revive it,” David said.
On Wednesday, the prelate posted a photo of her mother and a statement criticizing Duterte for calling him “son of a whore”.
This, after Duterte again chided David for supposedly attacking him from the church pulpit.
The prelate already belied the allegation, saying “the pulpit is never for that purpose”.
He called me a son of a whore for allegedly attacking him from the Church pulpit—which I have never ever done,” he said.
“The pulpit is never for that purpose. Unless, of course, he thinks that calling for an end to violence and extrajudicial killing in my diocese is tantamount to attacking him,” added David.
Bishop David’s post got more than 7,000 shares and around 11,000 likes as of Thursday. (Leslie Ann Aquino)
