Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia and Phoenix Pulse big man Dave Marcelo were among the personalities who were fined by the PBA on Tuesday.
Garcia was penalized a total of P22,400 a physical contact at an official and his third technical foul of the conference during Rain or Shine’s 94-91 loss on Monday.
Marcelo, on the other hand, was slapped P20,000 while avoiding suspension for his Flagrant Foul 2 on Christian Standhardinger in Sunday’s 92-90 win.
Teammate Matthew Wright got a P5,000 fine for a Flagrant Foul 1 on Von Pessumal in the same game and Calvin Abueva P3,400 for his fourth technical of the conference.
Rain or Shine’s Beau Belga was fined P3,400 for the same offense while Gabe Norwood and Beerman Arwind Santos P1,000 each for a technical foul.
The sanctions came after the two semifinal duels were marred by claims of inconsistent officiating and physical play.
Standhardinger, Abueva and Doug Kramer were earlier fined P20,000, P15,000 and P5,000 for separate incidents.
