Also, Tan took the bronze medal in the Boy’s All Events with a total score of 3,860. Brandon Ong of Singapore bagged the gold with a score of 4,103 while Muhammad Hafiz took the silver with a score of 3,933.
“It is a great feeling. I’m so happy. I really put in the work, also my teammates and it paid off,” said Tan.
Manila Bulletin Sports reached out to Philippine national team coach Biboy Rivera for his take on the performance of the Asian Youth Bowlers.
“I’m happy with the performance of the team. We came in as underdogs in the tournament since we have 4 rookies. They performed under pressure and supported each other to make a strong comeback in the boys’ team event,” said Rivera.
“They still have a lot to improve on but with their dedication and determination, I’m sure they will improve fast,” he added.
